Project 1
Diagrammatic Abstraction
This project is to investigate and to explore how spaces are created from the making of architectural elements: architectonics. Upon completion of the project we should be able to achieved a level of understanding on the works assigned and will be able to apply the idea and concept to our project later. We have to learn the five master modern concept by learning from precedents relating to the History of Modern Architecture. So, La Maison Tropicale by Jean Prouve were chosen.
By finishing this project, we have learnt discipline specific knowledge which enables us to put theories into practice as well as understanding professional practice within the field of studies.

Project 2a
Pavilion
This is a project where we are required to understand the concept of simple space planning requirement of a pavilion in relations to its site context. Each group of us will be given an equal amount of space to design at Kuala Selangor Nature Park for a chosen character to relax and contemplate within the site’s natural surroundings. Me and my partner, Tan Ming Long, was give a river site and a blind pianist as our character.
By finishing this project, we have learnt discipline specific knowledge which enables us to put theories into practice. We are able to generate design possibilities through the use of architectonics in a simple architectural form, space and function as well as having a suitable interaction with the particular site context.
Project 2b
Retreat House
This final project requires us to further explore the idea of the pavilion into a more complex program. We are required to understand the spatial requirement of a retreat house and translate them onto architectural program that includes public and private spaces for resting, dining, cooking, washing and etc. This is an individual project. Same as project 2a, the site given is river and my character is a pianist.
Upon this final project, I have learnt to understanding professional practice within the field of studies. For examples, I have successfully designed simple building type that meets user requirements and respect site context that balances both internal and external design values. Besides, thinking and problem solving skills have also been obtained as I have to faced many problems while making my models and drawings.
